Traffic Inn Hostel, Chengdu, China

So I went on a business trip to Chengdu a while back and stayed an extra day to sightsee. What a gorgeous, gorgeous city. There's so much to see and eat! I went to Jinli Street, the Panda Base, and Wuhou Memorial Temple. I even went to Lan Kwai Fong! Yes, that's right. Allan Zeman of the LKF Group of Hong Kong decided to open up LKF Chengdu and it is right next to where the Fu and Nan rivers join.

The city has many rivers running through it and Chengdu's city planners did an excellent job of utilizing their natural beauty.  Of course, since the weather is usually overcast in Chengdu, it is perfect for a morning run, afternoon walk, or after dinner stroll. Basically, you can stroll through the whole city if you want to, all by the water.

I will write more about the sights of Chengdu later but I just want to recommend the hostel that I stayed at. It is called Traffic Inn and it is a fabulous little hostel that is made for international travelers. The workers all speak decent English and are very helpful in making your stay pleasant? Hostels not your thing? Don't worry, there's an adjoining hotel as well, Traffic Inn Hotel. Expect to pay a bit more and you will still get to use the hostel amenities.

Nothing fancy on the outside

The reception/information center. Tons of good
information about Chengdu and travel arrangements/tours available

The living room that also doubles as the restaurant and bar. Great open space with a high ceiling.

Bean bags!

Outdoor seating/lounge space with ping pong tables

You can enjoy some delicious food here. That is a pot of fruit tea. It is a must try.

So yummy!

The rooms were pretty spacious. High ceilings and
plenty of windows to allow natural ambient light
